Dear Bob,

I am not a Christian, I am not from any religion, at least you'd give me credit of an outsider's viewpoint of objectivity.

That being said I would really love to understand why you think Fritz is fair. His book is clearly slanted towards Catholic Christianity at the cost of all other religions and all other sorts of christianity.

I expect that a practicing Protestant Christian would find his book appealing and sensible, but not the rest of the world.

I don't want to compare myself to Fritz Ridenour, he seems to be popular in the Protestant world, while my sorts would definitely be disliked.

But I don't agree that Fritz has the approach of an 'honest enquirer'. No sir, he could be a scholar but an honest enquirer he's not. Whatever he has studied of other religions is to discover arguments that he can use to rubbish them. At least that's what the book suggests.

Please keep your faith, let me live with lack of mine.

Cheers!

Cyril,

Your advice on whether or not Fritz's book is worth reading is, most definitely, not the kind I would expect from someone that any honest inquirer would take seriously. It reeks with unreasonableness or stubborn bigotry at every turn.

Unlike you, Fritz Ridenour writes like a scholar who has done a fair amount of objective reasearch on his subjects. I read his book from cover to cover, in 1970 or 1971.

Apart from your obvious bigotry towards Fritz or his book, you offer no good reason for refusing to read his book. You offer no real facts to refute anything he says. This renders your advice no better than a worthless piece of political propaganda.

Sure I think Google wave is an awesome product regardless of how few people use it. But the ones who do find it very useful. I think google needs to educate people right how useful this tool can be if used properly. I wish it stays.

Cyril,

Very nice and candid thoughts. I agree with you that there is much much more smoke than fire wrt Agile adoption and it's practical use. I am impressed that you made it fir 3 sessions. I was a regular at these events till the time it became obvious that companies just use these events to market themselves and harp about themselves rather than try to help the community and the ground realities that affect you and me. Over the period of last 2 years I have found that the gems of Agile adopters in India work in the background and are the real people who can help us. You can spot some of them on various Agile discussion groups and some prominent sites.

For the people who are reading this apt post I would suggest that remember that out of 100 people who talk about Agile and say that they know about it only 4 or less actually do. Place your bets safely.

Hello Anurag,

Although I have not been using the sprint model, I am already following some of the agile principles in my organizations. Maybe I attended the wrong part of the conference because the lectures I attended seemed to be stressing on bigger projects.

I recommend that the next time the conference should host a session on implementing agile for small teams and companies.
